Bonjour Paris! Bonjour BIJORHCA!
It's here! It's finally here! My favorite event of the year – the BIJORHCA Paris trade show! Ok picture this: hundreds of booths lined with the most glamorous jewelry and hottest accessories all under one roof, dropped in the middle of the fashion capital of the world! It is times like this when I absolutely LOVE my job
Fall in Paris is just stunning, so the September BIJORHCA show is my favorite to attend. That is, when I get the opportunity to join Tong and the team at Witaya showcasing their new line to the 14,000 buyers all scrambling to preview the latest collections and trends in jewelry.
People who know me know that I am primarily driven by color. So, though there are some amazing trends we're seeing on the runways at New York Fashion Week, like fur, oversized collar necklaces, bomber jackets and large detailed cuff bracelets (we'll talk about these in later blogs!), this week I'm focusing on the Fall 2016 color palette. Pantone has released their observed color trends for the season, and along with the traditional fall earthtone colors, they are seeing a focus on blue – specifically Riverside Blue:
According to the color experts at Pantone, “The desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the Blue family.” Boy, doesn't that sound appealing? Fortunately, the designers at Witaya love color too, so they have plenty of pieces that will fit right in to the tranquil blues. Here are some great head-to-toe looks that I'll be pulling from to dress my clients this fall:
(L to R: MaxMara Cady dress , Witaya Bridal Infinity Necklace Item No. 14076, Rocco scarf from MaxMara)
(L to R: MaxMara camel coat in blue, Witaya Sparkling Fire cuff bracelet Item No. 20445, Kate Spade Bellamy tassel bootie)
*
(MaxMara Laura wool gilet in pearl, Witaya Giselle Beaded Tassel Statement necklace, Item No. 14223, Petty Chelsea Booty by Sam Edelman)
Well, there you have it – plenty of blue options to keep the winter blues away for sure! Now it's time for me to focus on another color altogether – Cabernet! Yum! See you next time...
